Acer Jumps into the Ultrabook Territory with its Aspire A3

Ultrabooks are so on the rage! Toshiba and Lenovo, bad news! Acer also has jumped into the ultrabook territory with Aspire A3 as its blazing hand gun at the IFA 2011.

The specifications of Aspire A3 are quite identical, that is to say a 13.3-inch dimension, 1366 x 768 resolution display, Sandy Bridge Core i3, i5 and i7 CPUs’ and 240GB SSD or 320/500GB SSD+HDD alternatives. The gorgeous exterior is made up of aluminum and magnesium alloy. It equips a large non-backlit keyboard and a reasonably big trackpad. The Aspire S3 is just 0.51-inch at its thickest point and weighs at only 3 pounds (that means 1.4kg!).

 

In the connectivity department holds two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI-out, earphone jack and SD card slot. As for the availability the Acer Aspire A3 will be available in particular regions during the month of September, with price tags varying from $1,135 to $1,704.
